Well, the last week was a lot of fun. Thanks to Hurricane Ike we had a fun visit from Fred's Uncle Phillip and we broke out a new toy. Uncle Phillip was shocked how much Fred had changed in just two weeks. He reaches for toys and will take them away from you (and anything else you have in your hands) and has started laughing. Fred's personality is really starting to shine through. It's funny... I can't believe how much I enjoy him and am constantly impressed by him!
Last Sunday I pulled out the new/old toy. We got it from Mrs. Grissom from Lakeview, and Fred LOVES it. He was whining at me two days later, and it was because he wanted to go into the toy and I was not moving fast enough. Woah!
Dinner with the Hardins is always a treat. It makes me sad that we don't get to see them more often than we do, but I suppose that makes the time we get to spend together that much more special!
This past weekend we worked the garage sale and Fred sported his Dallas Cowboys pajamas until it got too hot. He was so sweet in them!
It was also Fred's Grandma's birthday. Yay! Happy birthday, Fred's Grandma!

Lots of busy stuff...
I hate that I am not able to keep up with this blog the way that I did before I went back to work. :-( Bear with me, please. There's a lot to update!
First off, last Friday Fred attended his first football game. We went to Keller and met Fred's Great Aunt Marsha and Great Uncle Bill to watch Uncle (2nd cousin or something like that- so we just say Uncle) Max. He had a great time... for about thirty minutes.
Then he HAD to eat...
Then he napped (but I've got no good pictures). After that it was time to head home...
Saturday we had a lot of fun. Mark, Liz, and Madison came over, then we headed to the softball game. Fred got to stay home with his Grandma . After the game we headed over to Fred's Grammy & Grandpa's house with Fred's Grandma, Mark, Liz, and Madison. We had a wonderful dinner and a great time swimming and playing games. Fred had a total blast in the pool!
...while Fred's Grandpa was grilling...
After going back home and playing some RockBand, it was time for Fred to say good-bye to the Marquez family and head to bed.
Then Sunday Fred and I watched as Fred's Great Uncle Bill and Fred's Dad attempted to rid this battery, from Fred and Fred's Mom's golf cart, of a SNAKE!!! It made for a seriously disturbing couple of hours...
Fred and I got bored with that and went inside to see Fred's Great Aunt Marsha...
After dealing with that mess (or what we thought would have taken care of it) Great Uncle Bill came in to collect Great Aunt Marsha and go.
After they left it was time to work on dinner. The pediatrician recommended that we introduce Fred to food with a spoon between the last time we saw him and the next time (between the 4 and 6 month appointments). We decided that Sunday night would be the night that we gave eating rice cereal a try. It was a messy blast, and we weren't very sure how much Fred actually ate, but he seemed to understand the idea that the spoon has food on it and it goes in the mouth. What a big boy!

Good Times...
Over the last couple of weeks things have been so busy! I (Fred's Mom) has gone back to work and everything has been speeding by so quickly! Fred talks (gurgles, sounds, and raspberries) all the time! It's so funny! He laughs out loud when we tickle him or make really silly faces with silly voices.
Fred is growing and changing so fast!
Over the last two weeks Fred has been staying with his Grammy. He's gotten to meet new friends, and Fred's Grammy has let me know that anytime they go in anywhere he is a conversation starter with strangers. I know that he LOVES listening in on other people's conversation (something Fred's Dad has said he got from me), but apparently he really enjoys visiting with strangers.
This past weekend Fred and my mom were my dates to our good friends' wedding. What a wonderful wedding it was! The new Mr. and Mrs. Tidman are just so adorable!
Fred and I dancing.

After the wedding Saturday, Fred, Fred's Dad, and I left to went to Corpus for the day. We got to visit Fred's Uncle Phillip and Fred got to meet his Great Great Aunt Joann and Great Great Uncle Ralph. Fred's Great Great Aunt Joann is his namesake's sister, and it was a true joy to get to introduce Fred to her. They were such a hospitable couple, and it was an extremely enjoyable few hours we were able to spend with them all. We left so happy- and looking forward to our next visit!

What a fun weekend, it all sped by so quickly. I can't help but wish for time to just slow down!
